The residence of the famous Kounic family was built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. The grounds included a park in the fashionable style of French Baroque gardens. The chateau interiors are full of frescoes, stuccoes, artistic sculptures and paintings. The central oval Historical Hall, where the armistice between France and Austria was signed on 6 December 1805, is quite exceptional.
