This important architectural realization from the early 1960s, classified as part of the avant-garde artistic movement characterized as the Brussels style, is a successful and impressive example of the return of Czech architecture to the principles of modern architecture. The construction of the hotel building (****) was carried out in 1961-64 according to the design of architects Zdeněk Řihák, Vladimír Kovařík and Alois Semela.
