The 11-storey post-functionalist hotel (****) from the second half of the 20th century with a Brussels-style interior was built in the city centre in 1959-62 according to the design of Arnošt Krejza and Miloš Kramolis. The hotel has an exceptional location right in the centre of Brno and is surrounded by historical buildings and a large park with Špilberk Castle.
