The Art Nouveau monument converted into a house museum is exceptional on a global scale. Located on a slope above the Svratka River in Brno's Žabovřesky, the house represents a developmental shift in the work of Dušan Samo Jurkovič. When designing his own house, the architect was inspired by the most modern villa buildings of Joseph Maria Olbrich in Darmstadt or Josef Hoffmann in Vienna.
