The Renaissance chateau is a realization of an original project including a garden, a fortification wall and a moat. The impressive 90 columns of the arcaded courtyard are richly decorated with 540 reliefs. War motifs, coats of arms, plants, fantastic animals and creatures and musical instruments literally come to life thanks to the skill of the Italian stonemasons. The Mannerist fountains of a later period are also from their workshops.
