12 kilometres north-west of the centre of Brno you will find one of the oldest castle complexes in the whole Czech Republic on a rocky promontory above the Brno Dam. During its history, the former royal hunting castle has experienced times of spectacular glory and deep sadness. Currently, a long-term reconstruction of the complex is underway and every year it is possible to see more open spaces and novelties.
