Louka Monastery

Founded in 1190, the St. Louce Monastery was one of the most important monastery complexes in Central Europe for centuries. The Premonstratensian monastery complex is dominated by a massive Baroque convent with a series of cellars and the Church of Our Lady and St. Wenceslas with its original Romanesque crypt. The monastery is located on the left bank of the river Dyje, which forms the natural western boundary of the complex.
