The archive building is one of the most modern of its type and is located on the outskirts of the Masaryk University campus in Brno, near the University Hospital Brno. It is a dominant feature of its surroundings in height and colour (glowing at night). It has two buildings attached to each other - the taller red one for papers, the lower blue one for researchers and staff offices.
